I played at "The Bluebird", Tuesday, January 25th, with some of the greatest songwriters I know... and am happy to be able to call them "friends".
The moment I walked through the door, I felt as tho I truly became "myself"... free, happy, excited to be alive... and so grateful to be in the company of friends.
I work 8 hours of everyday, in a different corner of my life... ophthalmology. I have always felt lucky to have a good "trade"... but I can't explain how I "become myself", like I do, when I am around music, and especially songwriters... I am eternally grateful to have this as a huge part of my life... and look forward to the day when it will become my life... become what I do...

| | WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2010 | | 2007-Wild Sound Studio | Near midnight... I met Matthew Zimmerman, Rich Dworsky and Brian Fesler at Wild Sound to record 2 songs. "If You Leave Me" and "The Way You Are". Rich played through " If You Leave Me" a handful of times, it was beautiful and every take was perfect. Then, we got ready to record "The Way You Are". Matthew had just gotten a new Steinway piano and Rich was trying it out. I stood by the piano and sang... no click track, no separation between Rich and I, no do-overs. It was a magical recording for me, one I'll never forget. Hugs to you, Rich Dworsky, Matthew Zimmerman and Brian... Thought I'd share this memory with you.
