"If You Leave Me"

 "Patsy Cline"

I remember how you used to sing to me
as the needle played I hummed those melodies
and I could swear there on the cover you were smiling back at me
so here's to you my good friend Patsy.

You know, friend, I hang on every word
it touches me inside and I still hurt
for it's hard for me to know you're dead and gone
for here in this room you live on

so fly... I can hear you sing an angel lullaby
and I... still fall to pieces everytime, you should know...
I just cry... sweet dreams to you Patsy Cline

You taught me how to sing and I believed
that I'd be singing on the Grand Ol Opry
and I'll be looking up to see you
but you'll be right here next to me
so thank you for those sweet dreams, Patsy

 "Lonesome"

I walked in the barroom when I was 14

like it or not, i didn't know anything

a few country love songs, a few in  between
came to be quickly my dream...

and I fell in love quickly, I fell in love hard
not knowing if I would get very far
far from the side of this barroom and scene
far away from this whole thing

and into the night, I'd sing lonesome
lonesome

the spotlight was warm it was red, yellow, green...
and into the night I'd confess everything
into the air again out in a song
'til all of my secrets were gone

I look at those faces, I look in the eyes
some of them happy, some sadder than I
and I'd like to send out a love song but I
just can't stop what I'm feeling inside

into the night I'd sing lonesome
lonesome

and they can't understand, they can't figure out
what all this crying and heartaches about
they say she is living the American dream,
if that's true than why does she sing

lonesome, lonesome
lonesome, lonesome.
